Frost Fest is set to take place on Saturday, February 4 from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in Fayetteville, AR and it’s an outdoor beer festival that you won’t want to miss!
The festival features over 25 breweries, some of which are on the Fayetteville Ale Trail, as well as other breweries from Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. It is a great chance to come out and taste local brews that you may not have had before and to connect with brew masters. You can see a list of participating breweries here.
“We're super excited about the Arkansas brewers guild stage and beer garden,” said Hannah Withers, former president of the Block Street Business Association. “Featuring our recent local beer culture just makes sense at such a local centric party. We've found more and more interesting people and talents to highlight in each of the little quirky nooks and crannies on Block. Celebrating our fifth year as a festival is a monumental milestone for us. We can't wait!”
The Southeast Tourism Society has announced that the Fayetteville Ale Trail is the recipient of the 2015 Shining Example Award for Best Niche Marketing.
“It's a huge honor - the Shining Star Awards are very prestigious in the tourism industry,” said Jessica Leonard, Communications Manager of the Fayetteville Visitors Bureau. “I am very proud of the work that went into making the Fayetteville Ale Trail a big enough of a success to earn such a wonderful designation.”
As we embark on a new year, it’s time to dust off that wanderlust bucket-list and start making those 2017 travel plans. While you’re making a list of must-see sites and restaurants, why not plan a “beercation” too? It’s our new favorite word and with brewery themed destinations on the rise in the coming year, Fayetteville, Arkansas is right up there with the big dogs.
