There are so many opportunities to shop local this holiday season in Fayetteville, AR and most of our shops have open houses and holiday specials just for you. These eclectic local places go above and beyond to make your shopping experience a special and enjoyable time. Aside from Lights of the Ozarks, here are some of our new favorite traditions:

1. Oh Local Night – Downtown Shopping
December 1 | 5 p.m.
Oh Local night is put on by Block Street Businesses in our downtown district and is the perfect place to shop and see the Lights of the Ozarks! Over 25 local businesses will open their doors with libations, snacks and sales! If you bring a receipt from one of these local businesses, it will get you 10% off at your next stop.

Did you know that there is currently a not-so-secret pop-up art sale happening in downtown Fayetteville? Fenix Fayetteville is a new group of emerging and established artists in Northwest Arkansas who have combined their talents and set up this pop-up shop just in time for the holidays.

From now until Sunday December 18, stop by the former Beaver Electric Building (208 N. Block Ave.) between the hours of 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. to see the artsy goodness for yourself and purchase a unique handmade gift for that free spirited family member on your shopping list. Featuring all types of mediums, you’re sure to find something cool in the mix of painting, photography, textile art, ceramics, ornaments and more!

It might be warm outside but it’s almost time for the holidays! Come kick off the holiday season by experiencing Fayetteville’s unique Lights of the Ozarks festival.

A winter wonderland, Lights of the Ozarks illuminates all downtown Fayetteville. The festival kicks off with just a flip of the switch by Mayor Jordan on Friday, November 18 at 6 p.m. and festivities continue with the lightning night parade.
