These eclectic local places go above and beyond to make your shopping experience a special and enjoyable time. Aside from Lights of the Ozarks, here are some of our new favorite traditions:

1. Oh Local Night – Downtown Shopping
December 1 | 5 p.m.
Oh Local night is put on by Block Street Businesses in our downtown district and is the perfect place to shop and see the Lights of the Ozarks! Over 25 local businesses will open their doors with libations, snacks and sales! If you bring a receipt from one of these local businesses, it will get you 10% off at your next stop.

Downtown businesses are partnering with the Fayetteville Animal Shelter for the annual Dog Days of Summer Sidewalk Sale Saturday, July 20.

During the farmers’ market Saturday, shops on the Downtown Square will have sales on products and help promote dog adoptions.

The Fayetteville Visitors Center will offer a 10 percent discount to any customer who brings in a can of dog food. Customers can also stop by to get a dog treat for their four-legged friends. A donation box will be available for those who want to support the Fayetteville Animal Shelter. The Visitors Center is located at 21 S. Block Avenue on the Downtown Square and will be open from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. during the Dog Days of Summer Sale.

The Fayetteville Underground is set to host the opening reception for their new exhibition during the First Thursday Celebration on the downtown Fayetteville Square, Thursday, July 7 from 5p.m.to 9p.m.

The show features work from different artists and media types that all aim to capture intricate details of the world.
