Looking for a way to enjoy the wonderful fall weather in Northwest Arkansas (and maybe toast with a craft beer or two)? Have no fear - the Dickson Street Merchants Association has come together to create Oktoberfest, a celebration of the season that features many popular tropes from the classic German event, taking place on Sunday, Oct. 11 from noon until around 8 p.m. Lederhosen are optional.

Oktoberfest is the brainchild of Hannah Withers and Heather Holaway, who helped organize the Block Street Block Party, which has grown into a major event each Spring.

Springfest will return to Fayetteville on Saturday, June 22, with the popular pancake breakfast, bed races, live music, craft vendors, a pet parade, pub crawl and other activities on Dickson Street.

The festival was originally scheduled for Saturday, May 4, and was postponed due to inclement weather.

The Walton Arts Center is almost ready to unveil their new space to the public! This $23 million renovation plan has been a large project extending the facility by adding an extra 30,000 square feet, modifying some of the theaters, upgrading backstage spaces and giving the outside of the building a more modern feel. These additions will greatly enhance the theater experience here in Fayetteville as the Walton Art Center remains an anchor in the downtown entertainment district.

The grand opening celebration will take place on November 19 with a series of events that are free and open to the public.
