"Savage Nature" by Artist Katrinka Booth "Savage Nature" by Artist Katrinka Booth

The Fayetteville Underground is set to host the opening reception for their new exhibition during the First Thursday Celebration on the downtown Fayetteville Square, Thursday, July 7 from 5p.m.to 9p.m.

The show features work from different artists and media types that all aim to capture intricate details of the world.

Artist Ron Lutz will showcase different vintage photography methods such as pinhole and photo negative juxtaposition celebrating the process of photo making and historical context. Watercolor is swirled into expressions of Arkansas landscapes by Artist, by artist Carole Smith evoking transient beauty found in nature. Elation and freedom of expression are captured by artist Katrinka Booth as she weaves wild curiosity into her textile works. The combination of these works alongside one another invites viewers to appreciate the small details that record moments in time and bring imagery to life.

This exhibition’s opening will feature live music by Allison Williams and Willi Goehring as well as local craft beer from Fossil Cove. The show will be up through July 30 and is viewable during regular Fayetteville Underground hours. The gallery is free and open to the public Thursday through Saturday 10a.m.-7p.m. at 101 W. Mountain St., Fayetteville, AR 72701.
